For The Price Of A Cup Of TeaFor the
Belle and Sebastian uninitiated, now would be a great time to acquaint yourself with them. Head over to
Matt's blog to download a great mix of B&S tracks both old and new (you can even download the whole new album,
The Life Pursuit, too). Matt also broke news that they will be touring this spring with the
New Pornographers, although they haven't announced any dates yet. Certainly, if anything good will happen to me in '06, it'll be a B&S show in ATL.

Ch Ching
Lady Sovereign is easily one of the most talked-about rappers out there today, perfecting the art of
grime. Check out
this article at
Chartattack to learn why
Jay-Z thinks she may be the next big thing. Suggested downloads would be any of the singles (Hoodie, 9 to 5, etc.).

HI, I'M DAISY!
I think if I had this
thing, I would
never leave the house. I doubt it's as addictive as my latest drug, Mario Kart DS, though.

Put The Book Back On The ShelfImage Comics will be releasing a book full of comics based on
Belle and Sebastian tunes, aptly titled
Put The Book Back On The Shelf. It will be released sometime late in February of 2006, near the release date of their brilliant seventh (if you count
Storytelling) LP,
The Life Pursuit. It should provide enough entertainment for any B&S fan, with 144 pages of comic goodness. I doubt the local comic shop here will have any shipped, though.

Feb. 14If you weren't lucky enough to download it on Christmas day, make sure to head to Drive-By Truckers'
site for their new album,
A Blessing and A Curse, on New Year's Eve to download "Feb. 14." It looks like
DBT will be releasing yet another solid album next year.

Kill Bill...AgainAccording to
this article, Quentin Tarantino plans to cut Kill Bill volumes
one and
two into one huge movie, to be released in theatres late in '06. I am leaning towards this being a tremendous train wreck, but I suppose he could pull something incredible off. Perhaps he should have just done this as a DVD release...what do you think?
