Poor Ol' Pete
Pete Doherty, formerly of the UK band,
The Libertines, was given his sentencing for carrying a knife with him. He was sentenced to four months of jail time, but his service of those four months has been suspended for 12 months. The judge's reasoning behind the jail time and not something more lenient (such as community sentence) was that he was "suitable." He has had a pretty bad year, considering his
being dropped from the band for his drug problems,
being attacked (the guy who apparently attacked told him he was going to break his nose and stick a knife in his neck), and
being absent from his own concert. Who knows what will happen to poor ol' Pete next.
