I wish I'd get sent a twenty-five dollar check sent to me...


Canadian MP3 player owners will be getting a refund based on a ruling in Canadian courts, saying that they don't have to pay the "piracy levy" that is hidden in the price of such products as Apple's iPod. Music lovers both in Canada and the U.S. were paying unfair levies on their MP3 players due to the lack of trust the music companies have in their own customers. It really does say a lot about the music industry, not that it could get any worse, though. I'm sure all of the money collected through the levy was sent directly to the artists. Bleh.
