Truck Driving Man

While I enjoyed Neil Halstead's solo album, Sleeping on Roads, and Rachel Goswell's Waves Are Universal even more, I've been pining for a Mojave 3 release. I've been waiting for Mojave 3's new album, Puzzles Like You, ever since Spoon & Rafter was released. We received it in the mail just this week, and it was a pleasant surprise amongst a rather dry week in albums that were sent to us. It's your typical easy going pop affair, but it has that certain charm that all of the Mojave 3 releases have. I can definitely recommend it.

Consolation Prizes

A few days ago, my friend Rollie informed me that I neglected to frontsell the Phoenix song I played on our last show. Well, I decided it might be a good idea to post it here for all to enjoy, because he said he was his favorite song he had heard that show. The new album, It's Never Been Like That, is a really good pop record -- nothing more, nothing less. They stripped away the electronic sound that was present on Alphabetical, and avoided effortlessly skipping from genre to genre like they did on United, so it's mostly your run of the mill guitar/bass/drum combination. The first four or so tracks are spectacular.

Attention

The new banner is just acting as a placeholder. I'll have something more attractive up ASAP.
